There's always hope...

Recently, I read a quote from the wise and insightful Bro. Dwayne Schafer.

"Change comes in frequent, determined attempts."

The idea that all is not lost on the first failing, or even the second , or the third, or the tenth attempt has given me a renewed motivation to continue to strive for the changes that I know are necessary in my life. This simple little quote speaks volumes of encouragement to me.

How about you?

y'know, i think i saw that printed and posted somewhere in your house when we were there recently. it got my attention, but not long enough to really think about it.

now i am. and you're right. there is massive encouragement in that thought. my attempts haven't been frequent enough, or determined enough. and my worries often obliterate my desire to change things I can actually do something about.

okay. i'll begin again.

If we don't try, then failure is sure. If we keep on trying -- who knows? We might just "get there"! I do think the key here is frequent and determined, because you just don't know which attempt is really going to click.
