Our "Baby" Done Good!

Parenting is all about the balancing of the desire to keep your little chicks right under your wing and the instinct to prepare them to "fly from the nest". Elvis fluffed her wings a bit tonight when she walked into a room full of strangers in order to follow her dreams and achieve her goals. And though a knot forms in my stomach as those wings begin to stretch, I know I can't hold her back forever. It would be against nature and the natural order of things. Much time in prayer has been invested for Elvis' future--that she will fulfill her dreams, hopefully, as she follows God's will for her life. Elvis, we're proud of you.
